Due to continued business growth we are currently seeking a Network Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a Network Engineer at ZanaNET, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure while ensuring the security and reliability of our services. You will work in a dynamic environment that combines office and remote work, and occasional travel to customer sites and data centre’s. Having your own vehicle is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network solutions using Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations
- Manage and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring high availability and performance
- Configure and maintain service provider technologies, including MPLS, OSPF and BGP
- Implement and manage security and firewall solutions to protect network infrastructure
- Collaborate with customers to understand their networking requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Monitor network performance, identifying and resolving anomalies and bottlenecks
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the network infrastructure
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies
- Knowledge of service provider technologies, including MPLS, OSPF, and BGP
- Proficiency in network security and firewalling
- Industry certifications such as CCNP Service Provider or JNCIP-SP are desirable but not critical
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for travel to customer sites and data centre’s
